Wayne Slater (Bachelor of Music, Piano / Master of Music, Organ) has taught piano, organ, music theory and composition for over 30 years.  He was the recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship for post-graduate studies at the Conservatory of Music in Cologne, Germany, and has performed numerous recitals throughout the U.S. and Europe.  He became a certified instructor in the Yamaha Music Education System in 1988, and served as a field representative and teacher trainer for the Yamaha Corporation's Music Education Division for two years.  He currently serves as organist for the First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue, Washington, and is active as a recitalist and accompanist.

Diane Slater (Bachelor of Music, Flute and Piano) has been teaching flute and piano students for over 25 years.  She has performed with numerous orchestras throughout the United States, and has been a featured flute soloist on three European tours.  She was certified as a Yamaha Music Education Instructor in 1988.  In addition to her classroom teaching of the Harmony Road Music Course, she maintains a full studio of private flute and piano students.  She has worked in both the Northshore and Everett School Districts as a woodwind specialist, and is in demand as a coach and adjudicator.
